OVERVIEW

The Color of Medicine Scholarship program is to assist efforts to increase the matriculation of underrepresented minority students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), and medicine.

Scholarship amount: The $1000 scholarship award will go towards the college’s cost of attendance (tuition, fees, room and board, personal costs, etc.)

WHO QUALIFIES

  • Students must self-identify as African-American, Hispanic, or American Indian/Alaska Native, and be U.S. citizens.

  • Students must pursue a degree in STEM and/or medicine.

  • Graduating high school seniors (or equivalent) who have never enrolled full-time in a 2- or 4- year college and seeking a bachelor’s degree

  • Students who plan to enroll full-time for the fall or spring term

WHAT IS THE SCHOLARSHIP

  • $1000 scholarship award will go towards the college’s cost of attendance (tuition, fees, room and board, personal costs, etc.)

  • In addition to a generous financial award, Scholars receive academic guidance, leadership development, and personal and professional support

HOW TO APPLY

  • Submit the application with supporting documents before the deadline for consideration. Deadline March 1st, 2022! Determination will be based on the student’s academic performance, financial situation, and their application
